Ridgely Middle School PTA wants you to be part of the great year ahead.  Without your support, many of the things that happen here at Ridgely - a 2006 National Blue Ribbon School - would be impossible.  RMS PTA funds provide support for:

• The School trifold, an important document containing the school calendar and contact information;
• Student agendas, used daily to keep track of assignments;
• Purchasing supplies and resources for every department at Ridgely;
• Cultural arts activities, including assemblies, the popular  “Arts in Action Night,” and the Artist in Residence Program;
• The RMS Student Directory, given to every student; Eighth Grade Farewell activities;
• The Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, an extremely popular event, which shows our staff how important they are to us;
• Ridgely’s literary magazine, The Inkling;
  Extra-curricular clubs and honor societies; and

We encourage you to join your PTA, the largest volunteer child
advocacy organization in the United States.  By becoming a member, you help students at Ridgely, in Maryland, and throughout the country.

Our PTA raises funds through your membership, generous donations, and our Annual Arts & Crafts Fair scheduled for November 10, 2007.  The fair is the PTA's ONLY formal fundraiser.  2007 will mark the 26th year of this community event, which brings over 100 skilled crafters and artisans
to Ridgely.  Much care is given to selecting vendors selling high-quality, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind items.
